Trains, Europe
The popularity of European travel is greatly established, especially with British and US tourists; constantly growing with regular developments and new additions. 80% of all UK visits abroad are to European destinations.
The dense network of European rail services mean that travelling by train allows users to connect with any city and town in Europe along with local and commuter services, and the InterRail travel pass offers extensive travel for up to 30 European countries, although many other travel passes are offered such as the Benelux Rail pass for Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Another benefit of European travel is there are now additional first class passes available providing a more relaxed and comfortable mode of transport.
Services in Europe include the Eurostar, one of the fastest trains in the world, with their level of speed currently 150mph- at the TGV high speed 1, and the TGV high speed trains which are the fastest way to travel around France and beyond into Belgium, Germany and all the way to Italy.
